Born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio, she has won 11 Olympic medals and a record 30 World Championship medals, making her the most decorated gymnast of all time. Known for her extraordinary power, precision, and difficulty level, several gymnastics skills have been named after her because she was the first woman to perform them successfully in major competition. Biles made history at the 2016 Rio Olympics, returned to win multiple medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and has become an influential advocate for athlete mental health after openly discussing her experience with the “twisties” during the Tokyo Games.
