Glenn Howerton is an American actor, writer, and producer best known for co-creating and starring as Dennis Reynolds in the long-running comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Born on April 13, 1976, in Okinawa, Japan, to American parents, he spent much of his childhood moving between different countries due to his father's military career before settling in Alabama. A graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School, Howerton began his acting career in television before achieving widespread recognition with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where he also serves as a writer, producer, and occasional director. Beyond the series, he has appeared in notable productions such as The Mindy Project, Fargo, A.P. Bio, and the critically acclaimed film BlackBerry (2023), in which his portrayal of businessman Jim Balsillie received significant praise. Known for his sharp comedic timing, intense performances, and versatility as both a comedic and dramatic actor, Howerton has established himself as one of television's most respected comedy talents.
