Biography

John Mayer is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer born on October 16, 1977, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He rose to fame in the early 2000s with his debut album Room for Squares and hit songs such as “Your Body Is a Wonderland” and “No Such Thing.” After the success of Heavier Things, he expanded beyond pop into blues and rock, releasing the critically acclaimed Continuum (2006), which featured “Waiting on the World to Change” and “Gravity.” Over his career, Mayer has won multiple Grammy Awards, sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, and earned recognition as one of the most respected guitarists of his generation. He has also collaborated with numerous major artists and has been a member of the band Dead & Company since 2015.
